If you are considering whitening your teeth, working with your dentist offers a safe solution to surface staining. Teeth whitening has become more popular due to bright white smiles on TV and films, leading to an explosion of products that can be bought online and in shops. However, in many products, it’s unclear of the strength of the whitening agent and the application tray is generic, so you’ll never be sure of how effective it will be. In addition it could damage the enamel of your teeth or the delicate soft tissue of your gums and lips. At Blue Sky Dentistry, we offer in-clinic and at-home options for teeth whitening in Northern Ireland, which are safe and effective.
Our professional whitening is customised so that the whitening trays fit your teeth snugly and the whitening agent is adjusted to suit your requirements. This bespoke service guarantees a positive whitening result. Since the tray is made to fit your teeth, there is maximal contact between the surfaces of your teeth and the whitening agent and no leakage onto the soft tissue of your gums and lips.
At our dental practice in Northern Ireland, teeth whitening is offered in 2 different ways:
In-clinic power whitening
In-clinic whitening is incredibly quick and can be conducted in one appointment.
A bespoke whitening tray is made from an imprint of your teeth, your lips and gums are covered and the whitening agent applied using the bespoke tray. Once in place a laser light activates the whitening agent and after an hour or so your teeth will be several shades whiter.
We make bespoke kits, including a bespoke tray that can be used at home. There is no light to activate the agent so the whitening process and the whitening agent is less concentrated than the one we use at our clinic. It will therefore take repeated applications for several hours every day over the course of about 2 weeks. The results will be just as good as our in-clinic whitening treatment.
Whichever way you choose to whiten your teeth, we will be on hand to ensure your experience of teeth whitening in Northern Ireland is positive, successful and ultimately safe.
